Chapter 4

Sariputta said timidly.

Since Mr. Vimalakirti is the volunteer spirit, he cannot be beyond our control.

"I think it reason that the person of the same rank goes."

Since he said such a matter,

The volunteer spirits who were observing the situation of the room were confused, grinning till then.

Guru Gautama has perceived it.

He thought that they should receive a trial similarly.

Then, Guru Gautama called and said Maitreya spirit.

"Would you go to treat Mr. Vimalakirti?"

Maitreya suddenly called in his name from Precious Guru has refused, being shaken.

"Buddha ,

I cannot cure his illness, either.

Because, it is although it becomes one year ago exactly.

It is a matter when I reside permanently in the Tusita star (planet in the central part of the Jambu Galaxy).

I was explaining the method of training for understanding space knowledge to the residents there then.

Then,Vimalakirti spirit was also visiting the star by chance, and was accompanying me.

When my explanation finished, one of residents asked a question.

"Mr. Maitreya.

Wasn't the Gautama buddha of Saha star predicted like this?

The qualification of a buddha will be acquired when you are born next time."

This was the question well made to me.

Since I am in the position near a buddha as compared with other volunteer spirits,

It seemed that the residents here had the strong degree of the respect to me.

In order to check that, they ask such an understood question.

I answered that it was usual.

"Yes, that's right"

Then, residents raised the cheer.

If it is rare that a buddha is born in this Galaxy rather than a supernova's appearing, we will listen to it.

If you become a buddha, we are also very creditable as residents of this star.

Vimalakirti spirit who was looking at the situation has done such a question toward me.

The time on the basis of a certain time generates various future, being spread.

Do you know this?

Then, I want to ask you.

If the prediction is approved when you are born.

When is it?

Is it the past?

Is it future?

Is it present?

Supposing it is a time of having been born in the past temporarily, the future does not exist here.

Moreover, suppose that it is a time of having been born with future.

It will not have the standard which measures time.

Therefore, that time of future cannot be decided.

Moreover, time called present is not spread at a point.

Therefore, present cannot be recognized in the world of phenomenon.

Only the past or future is felt.

Gautama buddha explained like this.

You are born simultaneously now, and grow old and are dead.

The idea of time to be spread on the target on the other hand is belonging to the phenomenon world.

The prediction to you accomplishing is exactly having escaped from restraint of this time.

However, the persons who united with it at once cannot say that he receives prediction.

They do not unite with the universe repeatedly.

It is decided that you become a buddha.

In the world of the vacuum without the idea of time to be spread,

you already need to be a buddha.

But, why do you receive the prediction of becoming a buddha, if you finish this whole life?"

Then, I answered in this way.

My substance is still training itself and does not fully understand space knowledge.

Time to flow is required in order to understand it.

For that purpose, I put the body on the phenomenon world.

I cannot avoid the process which repeats birth and death."

Then, he has said such a matter.

Do you think that prediction accomplishes, when your substance appears?

Or do you think that prediction accomplishes, when your substance is extinguished?

However, it is contradictory though prediction is obtained by such substance appearing temporarily.

Because, substance is not the object of the character which appears from the first or is extinguished.

All existence of the phenomenon world belongs to substance.

As for existence of a moral stage, all belong to a vacuum.

In the meaning, a buddha is also substance.

You, I, and an ordinary man are substance.

The vacuum is the same as that of space knowledge.

If you got prediction as substance, all the persons of a world will also get prediction.

Therefore, Mr. Maitreya.

You must not lead the residents of this planet by the method of explaining having obtained prediction which becomes a buddha.

The consciousness of substance does not search for space knowledge.

Moreover, when the wish collapses, it does not exist.

The residents of this star have the mistaken view which suspects many things about space knowledge.

You need to teach so that they throw it away.

It cannot perform understanding space knowledge by the body or the heart, either.

That is, escaping from the world of delusion is the only understanding method."

Residents showed  interest very much to his argument method and asked.

In order to escape from the world of this delusion, what matter should we just do?

He smiled and said like this.

It is not attached to the phenomenon world.

For that purpose, we keep in mind so that the phenomenon world may not be observed.

If we do not observe, we do not cause a delusion.

We do not do wrong judgment.

Then, we do not hold a wish.

Egoism disappears.

We can acquire a peaceful mental state.

The vacuous world is in sight then.

The vacuous world does not have all restrictions.

What is there continues endlessly and is free.

As for there, all exist equally.

Some which hide space knowledge have nothing."

Gautama buddha,

When the Vimalakirti spirit explained in this way, the residents of this star were greatly glad and presented the sense of deep gratitude to him.

Therefore, my capability cannot cure his illness."

The disciples who listened to confession of  Maitreya who is the great volunteer spirit were surprised at all the persons concerned.

They had also suspected that Mr. Vimalakirti was the volunteer spirit.

Newly, they have realized the height of his spiritual ranking .

Next time,

Guru Gautama was told to Hiranyagarbha of the newcomer volunteer spirit.

"You treat Vimalakirti."

However, Hiranyagarbha also described the language of a refusal.

Mr. buddha.

I cannot do his medical treatment etc., either.

Although it will be front from now on for about two years,

I remember the matter when finishing the practice which relieves residents' heart.

When I try to come out of the castle gate of the Vaisali,

Mr. Vimalakirti went into the castle gate exactly.

I greeted and asked him immediately.

Good afternoon, Mr. Vimalakirti,

Where did it come from today?

He stopped and said.

"I came from the place of practice."

Then, I said.

What the space training itself is it?

He said.

I came from the space of the transparent heart training myself.

If the heart is transparent, we can train ourselves, without wavering in lie falsehood of the world.

If we do not stray, since the practice with which we were burdened can be finished.

If our heart becomes transparent, our field of view will open.

We can be clearly seen now in what was not before visible.

We also come to notice existence the obstacle which had hidden what should originally exist."

He answered so and asked me.

By the way, what volunteer activity did you perform in the city?

Then, I answered.

I met prostitutes and encouraged them who are asking for help of the heart.

I also cured their venereal disease.

You have good judgment and the mercy heart.

I explained so to the visitors who came to buy them."

Furthermore, he asked.

"Were they thankful to you?"

I answered.

"Yes, everybody was glad."

He asked.

What matter did you consider, seeing it?

I answered.

Since my efforts were rewarded, I thought that I was glad.

Suddenly, he has held my shoulder strongly and said like this.

"It was regrettable.

Then, you have mistaken.

It is greatly splendid that you think that you are glad.

However, don't remove essence.

Existence of the inexperienced persons who can stray is your precious space training itself.
