Then, I requested
contributory cooperation from him.
However, I was flatly refused to him.
I had heard that he was a charitable person.
I asked him the reason for resisting cooperation.
Then, he said that I had mistaken the contributory method.
I said.
"Then, please,
teach me the method of the right contribution."
He said in this way.
Contribution which fills the desire of straying people is not the right contribution.
Money cannot save straying people.
Only space knowledge saves them.
The influential men who were listening to the conversation of mine and him have gathered for hearing it,
by the expression that Mr. Vimalakirti began speech of a customer again
If it is the contribution with space knowledge more valuable than money, it is cheap and is good.
Although there were some persons who say such a matter, he did not care.
He continued talking.
The reason whose they waver is concluded as their attachment.
The cause which produces attachment is in the heart to distinguish.
However, as for space knowledge, all existence shows the equal matter.
If we understand this, we will deny the heart to distinguish and attachment will also deny them.
They are saved by it.
"However, Mr. Vimalakirti"
A brahman said.
"Please see the fellows who are present in that yard.
The given food is crowded with them.
They only consider eating.
How should the noble space knowledge which you have be contributed for them?"
Vimalakirti answered.
Contributing space knowledge is contributing equal nature.
Equal nature denies a status.
By the way, denying does not disappear.
It does not mean disappearance of existence.
It is not accepting it.
Therefore, brahmans and untouchables are equal in front of space knowledge.
Therefore, we must be contributed equally also them or you."
It seemed that this brahman identified with the untouchable flew into a temper.
"I can contribute gold and knowledge.
However, what does that pitiable fellow give me?"
Mr. Vimalakirti said.
"They contribute that you and they are equal for you."
A ksatriya asked a question this time.
"In order to contribute the equal nature, what action should I just take concretely?"
Mr. Vimalakirti answered.
"You can perform it through all volunteer activities.
You help those who are in trouble and lead to space knowledge."
The ksatriya said.
I am also the same opinion as Mr.brahman.
"I am regarded as the thought being difficult for the fellows without the culture which is present in the yard."
Mr. Vimalakirti said.
"Denying attachment is that anyone can do.
If it is finished,
A volunteer activity can be performed if they also have a cause.
You should make the cause."
The ksatriya bowed its head in assent.
"The image has been visible gradually.
If someone does a volunteer activity, it will serve as a cause and a volunteer's ring will spread.
Do all persons finally come to do a volunteer activity?"
The Vimalakirti smiled and said.
"It is right.
Mr. ksatriya.
The state where the ring was completed is just space knowledge, and is the vacuum."
Influential men raised the cheer and praised him.
And,
atmosphere on that occasion,
We determined that the capital which gathered was commissioned to him.
We thought that he used it effectively.
Of course, I was also unanimous.
He said to us like this and left.
"I use this capital effectively.
You come to see the result one month after."
Then, he built a shrine to the slum.
It was the shrine of splendid making a stone which is admired as it was able to do by one month being sufficient.
Instantly, we went to the shrine to inspect.
Mr. Vimalakirti welcomed us and he showed the inside of the shrine.
A statue of Buddha made from marble was ensconced in the center.
Gold leaf was stuck on the statue of Buddha, the ruby was buried between eyebrows, and the necklace of a pearl was also hung.
It was a splendid statue.
But, may we use immense expense for such an object?
Isn't it more desirable as our volunteer activity to give it to a needy?
I thought so.
By the local characteristic, the worship visitor was only in the needy.
He sorted out the worship visitor, ordered the domestic, and supplied change.
They were the old men of the enfeebled untouchable, Hansen's disease patients, and serious physically handicapped persons.
Seeing the spectacle, I told him the grievance.
"Mr. Vimalakirti.
Your treatment is bad.
You did not accept my money distribution to be contribution.
However, you yourself are performing it.What matter is really this?"
He laughed and answered.
As long as it is based on what I spoke about on the other day, we may offer money.
Perhaps I ought not to say this in front of you,
You were going to contribute with money, without thinking not much deeply.
The people which are here need money clearly.
If we put the body on phenomenon space at all, unless we maintain our own flesh, we can do no activities.
I was able to say nothing.
Then, I was sulky for a while and looked at the statue of Buddha.
The influential men who came together praised the performance of a statue of Buddha optimistically.
Mr. Vimalakirti who improved mind began to explain the statue of Buddha.
"Here is the sacred image of Dshuplasaha buddha.
This buddha is in the Galaxy 20 million light year away from our Galaxy.
He has sent the energy of all volunteer activities all over the universe."
"Although it is the buddha which he has not listened to, if the sacred image is made, do we get some profits?"
The Vaisya asked a question like this.
Mr. Vimalakirti answered.
"resonance phenomenon happens.
There is a function to make energy amplify in this statue.
Someone else asked a question.
"Gautama buddha is in this saha star.
Don't we deify the buddha of such a long distance purposely?"
Mr. Vimalakirti answered.
However, about a direct volunteer activity, Dshuplasaha buddha is more effective than Precious Guru.
He said.
"Then, Excuse me,
is the rank of the buddha a higher rank from the Gautama buddha?"
Mr. Vimalakirti answered.
"All buddhas have a main part in the vacuum.
They are completely united with it.
Neither a higher nor a low is in their rank.
However, they have a difference in a process until they become buddhas.
Their elated field in the phenomenon universe has arisen by it.
Gautama buddha has the vast energy which cultures the unripe spirit.
If it compares, Dshuplasaha buddha is the great charitable person of the universe, and Precious Guru is the great principal of the elementary school of the universe."
"Yes,
was it such with work of a great buddha?"
All the persons concerned seemed to be impressed.
A man cried then.
"I understood.
You showed the equal nature in a volunteer.
You set up the buddha statue and the unhappiest untouchable as an extreme example.
And you contributed to them."
Then, other people were admired and he was praised.
Honestly I myself am not ascertained.
However, I surrendered to his dreadfulness.
Since it is such a reason, I cannot do his medical treatment.
