Higher organisms act egocentrically.

What is a matter more important than its life?

We assume so.

Such a phenomenon is checked by the lower organism with a short life.

The example in which the male of a praying mantis is eaten by the female,

The example of which salmons get tired and die after they go up to a river and lay eggs

These are applied to it.

Even mammals,

some kind of rats,

If their number of individuals increases too much, they will be groups, will jump into a river and will commit suicide.

This example is also checked.

How is it in the case of the high mammals or birds?

In the case of birds, many examples which parents pay efforts self-sacrificing because of posterity are known.

However, we do not hear the subject that parents die for the reason.

An excellent male makes a harem from the high mammals in many cases.

However, when the boss of a harem takes the place, a new boss will bite to death the child the former boss made females breed.

Such an example is reported.

The reason can be interpreted as follows.

"His act is a means for leaving his gene."

You may think that this example is contradictory in the following interpretation described previously.

"His act brings the result which conveys a more excellent gene at future generations.

Generally, the following interpretation is materialized when it is the animal as which action is determined by instinct.

"Beforehand, they are programmed so that priority may be given to preservation of species over maintenance of an individual."

The animal which has the developed self-recognition power, an anthropoid, a dog, a cat, an elephant, a dolphin,a parrot, a crow, etc. have a long study term from parents or a group.

They are taken as the important factor of decision making of experience.

Their decision making also seems to be egocentricity in many cases.
